¼ tsp Black Pepper
1½ tsp Kosher Salt
How to make Mushroom Pork Chops
Step 1: To a small bowl, add onion powder, black pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Mix well until blended and set aside 1 tsp of the seasonings for later use.
Step 2: Sprinkle the rest of the seasonings over the pork chops, coating all sides.
Step 3: Roughly slice the mushrooms. Make sure not to slice them very thin.
Step 4: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Drizzle with oil. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops to the skillet and cook each side for about 5 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Step 5: Transfer the pork chops onto a clean plate when done. Tent them with foil to keep warm or pop in the microwave or oven.
Step 6: Adjust the heat to medium-low. Add the butter to the same skillet and allow it to melt. Once the butter has melted, add the mushrooms and the reserved seasoning mix. Cook for approximately 3 minutes, stirring the mushroom often. Then, stir in the flour and continue to cook for about a minute, stirring often.
Step 7: Adjust the heat to medium before adding in the Worcestershire sauce and chicken broth. Deglaze the pan, making sure to scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the browned bits.
Step 8: Now, adjust the heat to low and put the lid on. Simmer everything for another 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often. Adjust the seasoning according to taste.
Step 9: To serve, place the pork chops over mashed potatoes and spoon the delicious mushrooms sauce over. Enjoy!
